Mini World Tour 2026 – A Visual Journey

During this mini world tour, I had the privilege of discovering new countries, observing fascinating wildlife, experiencing different cultures, and capturing countless special moments along the way. Thousands of photographs were taken. Many of them found their way into my journals.
For this final chapter, I have made a very personal selection: 60 photographs. 60 memories.
Images that tell stories. Images that evoke emotions. Images that have stayed with me.
Perhaps you will recognise some of them. Perhaps you will discover others for the very first time.
Come along with me – one last time.
Departure and Open Horizons
Every journey begins with a horizon. With a sense of anticipation that grows greater than the ocean stretching out ahead. These images tell the story of those first days – of the vastness of the sea and of moments suspended between sky and water.
Places Full of Stories
Some places captivate us with their beauty. Others with the stories they have witnessed over generations. Each of these places has a story of its own to tell.
When Light Tells Stories
No two sunrises are ever the same. No sunset ever returns. For a few fleeting minutes, the light transforms the world, turning ordinary moments into memories.
These images are a tribute to those magical moments that marked the beginning and the end of each new day.
Wildlife Encounters
The wildlife of Africa and the Indian Ocean gave us moments that could never have been planned. Encounters filled with closeness, dignity, and wonder.
Moments Full of Life
Some images show more than just animals. They reveal emotion. Closeness. Trust. Care.
Moments that touch us because they remind us that we are all part of the same living world.
The Beauty of Nature
From tropical islands and vast savannas to the shores of South Africa, nature revealed itself in countless different ways.
What Remains
After almost five thousand photographs, only a few remain especially close to the heart – the ones that will still bring back memories years from now.
We discovered new countries, visited islands, experienced different cultures, and saw breathtaking landscapes. Yet today, one week after returning home, when I think back on this journey, it is above all the animals that have stayed with me.
The elephants in the river at Pinnawala. The penguins at Boulders Beach. The giraffes roaming the vast landscapes of Africa. Lions, rhinos, zebras, impalas, turtles, monkeys, and countless other encounters. Each one special in its own way.
Perhaps it is because animals live entirely in the moment. They do not impress us with words, but simply with their presence. With a glance. A movement. A fleeting moment.
The incredible diversity of wildlife we were privileged to experience on this journey touched me deeply. More than anything else, these encounters are what made this mini world tour so special to me. And they are what have stayed with me.
These final images therefore stand for all those encounters that moved me the most – moments I will probably never forget. ❤️🦁🐘🐧📷
Thank you for coming along on this journey with me.
